Annual Stormwater Inspections
Colorado’s stormwater regulations are in place to protect the state’s waterways from runoff pollution — and annual inspections are one of the primary ways that’s enforced at the property level. Annual stormwater inspections are required under Colorado’s MS4 permit program, which holds property owners accountable for ensuring their drainage systems, detention ponds, and permanent stormwater control measures (CMs) are functioning as intended and properly maintained.
During an inspection, a certified inspector will assess your site’s CM, check for erosion or sediment issues, and evaluate the overall condition of your drainage infrastructure. Any deficiencies will be documented in a report along with the corrective actions required.
